All internal, external transactions and processes in the Dubai Government are now 100% digital and managed by a comprehensive digital government services platform.

“Achieving this goal marks the beginning of a new phase in Dubai’s journey to digitize all aspects of life,” Sheikh Hamdan said in a statement on Saturday. The premise of this journey is innovation, artistry and a focus on the future. The paperless policy of the government was implemented in five phases. According to reports, by the end of the last phase, the paperless policy was implemented in all 45 government institutions as well.

2700 crores can be saved every year
The Dubai government will benefit greatly from this policy. Going paperless will not only save money but also manpower. According to DNA, the Dubai government can now save around Rs 2700 crore every year. The foundation of this initiative was laid in 2018, which is also considered a commendable step from the environmental point of view. The Crown Prince of Dubai has called it the beginning of a new era. He said that in the coming 5 decades, the government will work to modernize and facilitate digital services.

It is difficult for western countries to become paperless
The use of paper has now completely stopped in Dubai. There are many western countries that want to achieve this goal, such as the US, UK, Canada. These countries are constantly making efforts to modernize their technology and services. But due to the increasing threats towards cyber security, this path is not easy for them. It has been seen in the past that even powerful countries like America have become a victim of hacking.
