Asked about India’s concerns over rising crude oil prices, he said the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other exporting countries were responsible for controlling the rise in prices. Due to the fear of the third wave of corona virus, India has not yet fully resumed international commercial flights, due to which the prices are touching the sky. The fare from UAE to India on Diwali was around Dh5,000. The average fare from UAE to India in August was around Dh450 which has more than doubled in recent weeks.
