The government will not fall but we want mutual trust and dialogue and not dispute.

While the president was making this statement, police in Almaty were firing tear gas and numbing grenades at protesters. The police’s effort was that the protesters present in thousands of numbers could not enter the mayor’s office. In this oil-rich country, the government announced late on Tuesday that it was restoring LPG prices. Earlier, in a rare show of its kind on the New Year, protesters reached Almaty city after the hike in LPG prices.

After these demonstrations, the government has resigned and the President has accepted this resignation under Article 70 of the Constitution. The financial capital of Kazakhstan is Almaty and the situation there became uncontrollable on Tuesday night. Following the resignation of Askar Mamin, the President has appointed Samailov Alikhan as the country’s caretaker prime minister. It has been said in this order that the members of the present government will continue to do their work till the new government is formed.
