The Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Countries (OIC) met on Sunday in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. There are a total of 57 Muslim country members in this organization, but only the foreign ministers of 16 small countries had reached to participate in the meeting. The rest of the countries had sent their ambassadors or officers to attend the meeting.
Foreign ministers of Central Asian countries had reached India
Interestingly, instead of going to the OIC summit, the foreign ministers of five Central Asian countries neighboring Afghanistan reached Delhi to hold an Afghan meeting. On Monday, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Outraged, a section of Pakistan media is accusing India of failing the OIC summit.
Pak media giving less information on OIC due to fear of army
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s main stream media is avoiding giving more information on OIC for fear of the government or the army. All these countries are members of OIC. But instead of going to the summit in Pakistan, he preferred the India-Central Asia Summit in New Delhi. Pakistani media is raising questions about this.
OIC meeting of Pakistan failed because of this
Actually, Pakistan had held a meeting of OIC member countries on 19 December. The agenda of the meeting was to recognize and support the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. While on the other hand the India-Central Asia Summit was held in New Delhi, the capital of India, on the same day. It was attended by the foreign ministers of five neighboring countries of Afghanistan. However, the agenda of this summit was also Afghanistan. External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar had also said that India and five countries of Central Asia want to help Afghanistan because we have deep cultural ties with Afghanistan.
Pakistan becomes spokesperson of Afghan Taliban
The UN and many organizations of the world have said that hunger is at its head in Afghanistan and if the world does not help it soon, then this winter can prove to be fatal for the people there. Pakistan wants to take advantage of the world’s sympathy for Afghanistan. Surrounded by land on all sides, the borders of Afghanistan are adjacent to Pakistan. In such a situation, the way of help reaching there goes through Pakistan. This is the reason that by becoming the spokesperson of Afghanistan, Pakistan wants to take the help received from all over the world through it.
Pak also obstructed India’s help
There are two agendas behind this initiative of Pakistan. The first is that Pakistan can grab a part of the aid to Afghanistan. Second is that he will send relief material from his trucks to Afghanistan, so that the Afghans understand that Pakistan is helping them. For this reason, Pakistan has also blocked the supply of wheat and medicines from India to Afghanistan.
