According to the report of Geo TV, the oil companies of Pakistan have said to increase the prices citing the increase in the prices of crude oil in the international market. He claims that the price of petrol is soon going to reach the all-time high. In such a situation, the price of petrol in Pakistan can be up to Rs 150 per liter.
Preparation to increase by Rs 6 on petrol and Rs 5 on diesel
The report quoted sources as saying that the Imran government may increase the price of petroleum products by Rs 6 per liter. Apart from this, the price of petrol will increase by Rs 5 per liter and that of diesel by Rs 6 per liter. The Finance Ministry of Pakistan will take a final decision in this regard after consulting Prime Minister Imran Khan. These new prices of petrol and diesel will be effective from January 16.
When was the last time the price increased
The last hike in the prices of petrol and diesel in Pakistan was done on the last day of the new year. On December 31, the price of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) was increased by Rs 4 per liter in Pakistan for 15 days. The price of Kerosene was increased by Rs 3.95 and that of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs 4.15.
What is the current price of oil in Pakistan
After this increase, the price of petrol in Pakistan increased from Rs 140.82 per liter earlier to Rs 144.82 per liter. Whereas, the price of high speed diesel increased to Rs 141.62 per liter from the previous Rs 137.62 per liter. The price of light diesel oil increased from Rs 107.06 per liter to Rs 111.06 per litre. Similarly, the price of kerosene increased from Rs 109.53 to Rs 113.53 per litre. These are the current oil prices in Pakistan.
