According to NASA, this total solar eclipse will be seen over Antarctica on December 4. Apart from this, a partial solar eclipse can be seen in Saint Helena, South Georgia, Falkland Islands, Chile, New Zealand and Australia. This solar eclipse will not be seen in India.

NASA said that a solar eclipse occurs when the Moon comes between the Sun and our Earth. Due to this the shadow of the moon starts falling on the earth. Due to this, the sunlight either does not come completely or is able to come only partially in many areas on the earth. A total solar eclipse can occur on a Sunday when the Sun, Moon and Earth come in a straight line. The total solar eclipse will begin at around 11 am on December 4, Indian time. The solar eclipse will reach its peak at 1.03 pm in the afternoon.

The best view of a total solar eclipse can be seen from the Ronne Ice Shelf near Antarctica. NASA said that the next solar eclipse will now take place on April 8, 2024 and will be seen in different parts of the world including Canada, Mexico, America. Wherein Europe will not see a total solar eclipse in this century. Even though the solar eclipse will not be visible in India, people can watch it online.

NASA will broadcast it live from the Union Glacier in Antarctica. It will be shown on YouTube and at nasa.gov/live. Its broadcast will start at 12 noon Indian time. NASA has warned people not to watch the solar eclipse with the naked eye. This can damage their eyes. A total solar eclipse is when the moon is completely in front of the sun for some time and looks like a ring in the sky.
