- Questions raised about the design of the future warship of the US Navy
- The design of the Chinese Navy’s Type 055 destroyer is being compared
- China’s Type 055 destroyer is the world’s most powerful warship
China has so far been accused of stealing designs from other countries and making warships, fighter aircraft and missiles. Now the same allegations are being made on America. In fact, recently the design of a new warship to be built for the US Navy has been released recently. After which many experts have termed it as a copy of China’s Type 055 Guided Missile Destroyer. During the US Naval Conference, it was claimed that this destroyer would be equipped with the most advanced weapons, communication systems and radars ever.
The US Navy has long been seeking to replace its older Earle Burke-class destroyers. The first destroyer of this class was first commissioned into the US Navy in 1991. The US had started the CG (X) program to replace it, but it was discontinued in 2010 due to some reasons. Since then, the US Navy was looking for another destroyer.
The design is being compared to a Chinese warship
The futuristic DDG(X) destroyer design was unveiled Wednesday at the Surface Navy Association’s National Seminar in Arlington, Virginia. However, the US Navy has not issued any statement regarding this dispute. It is being told that the purpose of releasing the new design was to give information about the warships to be developed for the Navy.

Chinese state media is branding the Type 055 Guided Missile Destroyer as the world’s most dangerous warship. The length of this warship is 180 meters and the maximum width is 20 meters. While the second ship was launched in April 2018 at the same shipyard. More than 10 such destroyers are planned to be commissioned into the Chinese Navy. At present, the work of making warships of this series is going on very fast in China.
